Duration/Rhythm 1
In this unit, your students will lay the groundwork for musical learning. Through dynamic exercises, they’ll start to recognize and perform a steady beat by moving, clapping, and speaking. Your students will respond to various tempos and meters, perform rhythmic syllables, and create rhythms within the lesson framework. This unit will help your students feel and identify the heartbeat of music, allowing them to perform and create basic rhythmic patterns that will serve as building blocks for more complex rhythmic concepts in the future.
