No Lessons
In this unit, students will continue to develop their foundation for musical learning by reviewing the basics of melody and pitch before adding new concepts in intervals, solfege, and pentatonic scales. Students will identify and perform accidentals and major, natural minor, and major scales. Students will experience key signatures and perform music examples in a variety of keys and styles.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this Unit, students will be able to:
- Define different musical scales and identify how they are used in various cultures and music styles
- Identify accidentals and perform them accurately
- Create melodic sequences using scales within provided guidelines
