Introduction
In this lesson, students will learn the parts of a note and the rules governing stem direction. Students will practice drawing notes onto a 5-line staff and identify when the stem direction should change, how large to draw a note head, and how long to draw a stem. They will not need to know pitches on a staff in order to complete this lesson.
