Introduction
This lesson will introduce the terms ascend, descend, patterns, and sequences in music. Students will use their knowledge of rhythm and solfege to identify these patterns in music. This lesson relies on using common short songs or popular songs that have obvious ascending/descending patterns. By the end of this lesson, students will be able to articulate the definition for these terms and identify them by ear.
